How the board works
A few facts straight from DFE PTA's own bylaws, for anyone curious about how things run.
Monthly board meetings
The Board of Directors meets monthly throughout the school year. Three general membership meetings — open to every Falcon family — are held separately, at least three times a year.
Annual elections in May
Officers are elected by ballot each May and serve one-year terms, with a two-consecutive-term limit in the same office — so there's always fresh energy on the board.
A nominating committee runs elections
A committee of 3–5 members manages nominations each year. Any member can submit a written intent to run ahead of the election meeting.
A Code of Conduct every board member signs
Every board member agrees in writing to DFE PTA's Ethics/Code of Conduct — covering confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and representing the PTA responsibly.
